Secured Site Rentals
Ideally located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, the SWTC features over 750 acres of snow, ice, and bare pavement surfaces (including approximately 40 acres of ice surfaces). With vehicle dynamic areas, road courses, hills, mu transitions, and a variety of other specialty surfaces we are well-equipped to meet customer needs. Arrangements can be made to provide secure, restricted access to areas where sensitive evaluations need to be performed.
In addition to our many test surfaces, SWTC provides over 50,000 square feet of office and heated garage space. A number of these areas can be rented on a dedicated basis.
The Smithers Winter Test Center is staffed by more than 40 employees, providing 24/7 service throughout the winter season. Nearly half of the staff has over 10 years of experience at SWTC and 15% have been with us for more than 20 years.
